Cloud Network Engineer - STACKIT (m/f/d)
The impact you will create
- Support the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on OpenStack, with a focus on networking (e.g., Neutron, OVS/OVN, Arista, Calico)
- Take responsibility for the surrounding system landscape (e.g., Kubernetes, Nginx, BGP)
- Conduct detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify sustainable solutions
- Ensure efficient automation and continuous optimization of technical process workflows
- Create and maintain professional documentation, as well as integrate monitoring and logging to ensure stable platform operations
- Be part of a motivated team that continuously strives for improvements and evolves both individually and collectively
Experience and skills you will need
- You have solid experience with Linux and Kubernetes, and keep up to date with new developments in these areas
- You have hands-on experience with Software Defined Networking technologies such as OVS/OVN and Calico
- You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a structured approach to diagnosing and resolving issues
- You are proficient in programming and scripting, particularly in Golang, C/C++, Python, and Bash
- You have worked with virtualization and containerization environments and understand their practical applications
