Daniel Ortega, BI and Data Team Leader

Daniel started at Lidl Spain in 2008 and since then he has had the opportunity to work on many different IT solutions in a wide range of areas, contributing to the success and growth of the company. He has always worked closely with Business and IT, which has given him the opportunity to participate in the implementation of many IT Solutions, considering their impact on the business.

As head of Business Intelligence & Data, he has been responsible for building this team in Barcelona since 2019 and he is able to combine his passion for technology with people and strategy development.

The main goal of this team is the implementation of data-driven solutions in the entire group, collaborating on conception, development and implementation. Currently, we're focused mainly on Data Management, Meta Data, Master Data, Data Quality and BI activities.
